Prince removes vids from Youtube

Standard

Well well…Prince’s lawyers seem to think that my low res, minute long video clips constitute copyright infringement so they’ve been disabled on my ytube but strangely enough, still seem to work here.

I personally think His Royal Badness is going over the top, as I posted these clips to share with fans. So there’s no profit motive behind this, but I guess his legal team would beg to differ. Sign o’ the times folks!

  1. Actually, he’s been more relaxed on this subject for the past year or so, ever since he hooked up with his new guitarist/girlfriend, Andy Allo… she constantly posts stuff they recorded on her FB… and I think he’s starting to open up to the internet again. I think it’s just his lawyers wanting to get paid these days.

Did you hear the new version of “Extraloveable” which he released on itunes recently? It’s an old unreleased track from the 1999 era. He duets with Andy on it. It’s funky, almost as good as the original… but not quite 😉

    • Yeah mon, I agree! The newer version is more pop. I prefer the grittier sound of the original…guess Prince is having fun with his bottomless vault of musical treasures 🙂 Well, I hope everything is cool on your end, getting all geared up for the holidays & all. Catch up with you soon! x
